Gateway Church is a life-giving church in Talihina, OK that is committed to a culture of love and generosity in the name of Jesus Christ. We are a community of believers who desire to know God more closely.

Gateway Church is a community of believers where we strive to follow Jesus, become like Jesus, and share Jesus with others. We welcome you to join us on this journey. As a community, we walk this journey together, pray for each other, and love each other. We want everyone to feel welcome. We want everyone to experience spiritual growth and we want everyone to know the good news of Jesus Christ. We are a family - different ages and different backgrounds but we love, support and encourage each other.

Gateway Church of the Nazarene Statement of Mission

Our mission is to follow Jesus, become like Jesus and share Jesus. We do this through hospitality (making room for others), community (doing life together), discipleship (becoming more like Jesus), and mission (sharing the good news of Jesus).

Statement of Beliefs

TRINITY

We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

SCRIPTURE

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

SINFUL NATURE

We believe that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

ETERNITY

We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

SALVATION

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

SANCTIFICATION

We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

CHRIST'S RETURN

We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

Pastor

Pastor Tom Felder has served as pastor at Gateway Church since 2018. He has a heart to see life change in people through dynamic worship, biblical preaching, and engaging Bible study.

The Church of the Nazarene in Talihina

Serving this community for 75 years.

Founded in 1951, Gateway Church of the Nazarene is celebrating 75 years of ministry here in Talihina, Oklahoma. Started in rented space, the new congregation soon purchased a building from First Baptist Church at the corner of Ninth and Hellen. This was their home until 1980, when they built a new church building at the current property on Nelson Street.
